Lumiere London Festival

London Lumiere Lights! Wow, just wow!

This is really one of those things you have to see for yourself to truly appreciate the beauty of it all.

This week, London welcomed a spectacular display presented by Artichoke and supported by Mayor of London.

This magical event took place over four evenings between Thursday 14th until today, Sunday 17th January, starting at 6.30pm until 10.30pm. The best part about this event… It’s FREE to attend.

This Festival was first held in Durham, and due to it’s success, they decided to showcase in London. It is spread around four places: King’s Cross; Mayfair; Piccadilly, Regent Street and St James’s; and Trafalgar Square and Westminster.

There is an impressive 30 installations to visit, designed by a range of talented artists from across the world. I managed to see 16/30 of the installations, and here are a few of my favourite I captured last night.

For anyone who is near by, and can handle a cold winter walk around the city, then I 100% recommend grabbing the chance to see tonights last display. There is a free map you can use to find the installations.

And for all of those who didn’t manage to visit the Lumiere Lights… Not to worry… There is lots of other Light events coming up in London, which I will be posting about in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out!
